Punta Cana – Joheirry Mola, representing the Distrito Nacional, was crowned as the new Miss Mundo Dominicana 2025 at the Convention Center of Barceló Grand Resort following a fierce competition among more than 20 candidates vying for the blue crown.
The pageant, dedicated to celebrating Dominican culture, was broadcasted via Telesistema Channel 11 across the Dominican Republic and Univisión NY and VIX. It began with the traditional merengue by Johnny Ventura, with his son Jandy singing his most iconic songs.
Hosted by international stylist Jomary Goiso and Dominican Hony Estrella, the candidates showcased their evening gowns designed by fashion master Giannina Azar, as well as swimwear crafted by OM Caribbean, experts in Larimar and Dominican Amber.

The jury for this edition of Miss Mundo Dominicana was composed of notable women, including Kika Rocha, fashion director at People en Español; Albania Rosario, founder of FDLA at NY Fashion Week; Maribel Contreras, current president of Acroarte; and Arana Lemus, talent at Univisión Network.
Also part of the jury were special guests and current queens: Miss Mundo Ecuador Sandra Alvarado, Miss Mundo Venezuela Valeria Canavoo, Miss Mundo México Maryely Leal Cervantes, and Miss Mundo Puerto Rico Valeria Pérez.
Joheirry Mola will represent the Dominican Republic in the 73rd Miss World pageant, where she’s expected to succeed Sukata Chuangsri of Thailand, the current world queen.
She will also receive a contract as a news correspondent for Univisión 41 New York during her reign, through the Ventana a Quisqueya segment, marking a historic achievement in the country’s beauty pageants.
The television production of the night was managed by Alberto Zayas, with artistic direction and choreography by Pablo Pérez and Marcos Taveras, and image direction by Keyther Estévez, who highlighted every stage of the competition showcasing the best of the Dominican Republic.
